Students and Alumni can create a Saved Search in the Advanced Job Search section of the platform. This Saved Search can be based upon a keyword, a location, a major, and more!
To create a Saved Search, access the Advanced Search area in the "my jobs" section of the platform.
Let's start with a simple search and use the keyword Marketing.
Here we have typed Marketing into the keyword field. Next we will click the Search button.
As you can see in the above image, job posts meeting that criteria appear.
Next we will create a Saved Search so that all jobs with a keyword of marketing will appear when clicked.
We do that by typing a meaningful name into the "Save advanced search as" field. Here we are naming our Saved Search: All Marketing Jobs. Then, we click on the Save button.
Once we click the Save button and then refresh our screen, we see the Saved Search.
Clicking on the link All Marketing Jobs returns all the jobs that meet our Saved Search criteria: keyword Marketing.
We can also create a Saved Search by choosing some additional criteria.
Here we are searching on the keyword Sales and choosing a radius search of 10 miles of Dallas, Texas.
Once we save our search, we can come back and click on this link to pull up jobs that meet the Saved Search criteria: Sales (keyword) jobs within 10 miles of Dallas, Texas.
Please note, it would be wise to start off with just one filter at first when you are searching. The more filters you use, the more specific the criteria becomes for the search results. Begin with one or two filters – if you are still getting too many results to browse, you can add more filters by using the drop-down fields and checking more boxes.
If you are receiving NO search results, it is possible that there are no jobs matching your criteria. If you believe there is a post that should be appearing, check with your school's career services center to make sure the job post is still published.
And finally, to remove a Saved Search, simply click on the red X and it will immediately be deleted.
