While some users might have great photo editing software and might be experts at resizing photos, other users might need some more guidance.
Using a standard Microsoft accessory program like Paint can help accomplish your resizing goals. You can find the Paint program by searching your computer in the bottom left-hand corner of your Start menu.
Once Paint is open, click File, Open, and then browse for the photo you want to resize.
Once the photo is open in Paint, you can resize. NOTE: You may need to crop the photo first. Images that are equal in height and width are going to look the best resized.
To resize, click the “Resize” option in the tool bar.
This will open a new window. Choose the “Pixels” option and adjust the Horizontal and Vertical aspects to 225. You may need to un-check the box next to “Maintain aspect ratio.” Click OK when you have finish making those changes.
Hopefully your image has formatted nicely!
To save this image as a .jpeg, click the File option, then Save as. You will see an option for JPEG picture. Click that option and save the resized photo to a folder in your computer where you can easily access it.
